When we take possesion of and claim a space as our own, we clear away the junk left by the previous owner, re-arrange the furniture, and re-model the rooms until we are happy with everything and feel the space reflects our own taste and personality.
Maybe we should give God the same privilege in our hearts---to make them His own living space.

What do we do about people who keep leaving their garbage behind in our healing hearts, filling up our God spaces with their trash? Do we refuse to let them in for a visit rather than spend our precious resources cleaning up after them, time and again -- especially if some of their trash seems very comfortable, like an old worn chair that seems cozy, but is bad for your back in the long term, and creates disharmony in your space?
ReplyDeleteWell, after God moves in, they are His problem now. I'd just show Him the mess and let Him worry about it. I remember giving Him an unsolvable problem one time and being amazed at His solution---above is a good journal entry, by the way.
